Around the World

My new goal it to, literally, show my kids the world. I want to take them around the world. I want our family to see humanity. I want them to recognize borders as geographical markings, not dividers of human kind.
I'd better start saving!

I am grateful that my husband is handy. He is making a copy of some shelving I saw in the Pottery Barn catalog. His version will cost about a forth of what Pottery Barn wants. I am just tickled. I really think Don can do just about anything.

The Vanguard Program

Alex got into the Vanguard Program at River Oaks Elementary!
HISD Magnet program provides a subset called the Vanguard program. The Vanguard program provides a differentiated curriculum by enriching the depth, complexity, and pacing. ROE is the most sought after school for children entering this program.
I am still a little in shock.
