Alex's Kindergarden Picture

Not too thrilled with the photo. He is way cuter than this. They have a guarentee, but do I really want to make the time to bring him to the studio to have it re-done...hummm...probably not.

Wordless Thursday?

Real Simple Questions

1. What's the last thing you do before going to bed at night?
Say a prayer.

2. How many books have you read in the past year?
Gosh...since Randi, hum, 2. That is sad. I'm going to read after this post.

3. Someone should invent...
something that would rid the world of mosquitoes.

4. I feel the most beautiful when...
I have accomplished something really difficult.

5. What is your favorite physical feature?
On myself, my lips. On others, shoulders.

6. Name as many of the costumes you've worn on Halloweens past.
I don't do costumes. I am just not all that interested. I can really only remember one...a alien when I was like 5.

7. The big decision I'm currently wrestling with is...
how to bring a little more adventure into my life.

Kemah

We needed a day of fun for our family. So, we went to Kemah. We should really do this more often. It was a great time.

Rock Star

I used Randi's bows (because they were handy) to keep my hair out of my face tonight during bath time. Randi was quite offended. She kept pointing saying, "My bows!"
When I went in to wash the boys, Alex says, "Mom, you look like a young rock star!"

More Kiss?

Tonight, while putting her to bed, Randi kept asking for "more kiss?" How could I say no? We must have peck kissed for 5 minutes until she got the proper smack sound down. SUPER CUTE!

The Perfect Hour

All the are chores done. The kids are sleeping. It is beautiful outside, and I have a hammock and a good book. Lucky me.

Salt Lake City

OK...Girls...what is it like to live in Salt Lake, Utah? Tell me about the people, the weather, the cost of living, etc.
Don wants a report. He is looking at applying for a job there.

Thanks, Natalie...

I take so much of what is on my blog from yours. Thanks for being my role-blogger. I miss you.

My roommate and I once: almost got into a fist-fight because I decided to move out when I found her doing cocaine on the coffee table.

Never in my life have I: jumped out of an airplane. I really wanted to do that when I was younger, but now I have too much to loose.

High School was: not challenging.

When I am nervous: pick at my nails.

My hair: is thin; which is very frustrating when all my life I have wanted long hair.

When I was 5: I thought I ruled the world!

I should be: more grateful.

By this time next year: Don should be settled in whatever job he decides is best for our family.

My favorite Aunt is: no nonsense, smart, kind, creative, and has the nick-name, "Be-Beet." I still don't know how she got that name.

I have a hard time understanding: war.

My ideal breakfast is: warm croissants with honey butter and a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice.

If you visit my home town: you'll see a lot of cows.

If you spend the night at my house: you would have to sleep in a very comfortable but flowery bedroom.

I shouldn't have been: mean to my kids.

Last night I: watched lots of football with Don.

I've been told I look like: my Mom.

Randi Style

OK...I just love smocked dresses, but they are not very functional for school. Yesterday, I found this cute casual Polo dress for Randi.

I got her one, but there are so many variations that I just have a to get a whole bunch more!

You may ask why not shorts or pants? It's because she is my only girl, and she should be dressed accordingly!

All or Nothing

I realized today that I am an all or nothing kind of girl. I am either running a marathon or eating Twinkies, working frantically or sleeping, hugging or yelling...you get the idea.
Maybe I should try a little moderation?

$75 Table & Chairs

I found this table and 4 chairs at Kroger today for $75. It was obviously on clearance.
I wanted the chairs for a table I already had, and I have been looking for a BIG end table for years. I just separated the set, and Ta Da...Done.

Alex's LEGOs

My kid is such a talented builder. His most exciting class at school is robotics, he loves to walk through houses under construction and his favorite toys are Legos, Tinker Toys and Lincoln Logs.
Here is a little house he built. He usually builds space ships or cars. So, the house was worth noting.
(the tire on the wall is supposed to be the TV)

Nap Mat

I made this cute little Strawberry Shortcake nap mat. The pre-made ones I found were at least $67! UH, No. This one cost $20 and 1/2 hour of sewing. Randi calls it her "cake mat."

I belong in London

You Belong in London

A little old fashioned, and a little modern.
A little traditional, and a little bit punk rock.
A unique soul like you needs a city that offers everything.
No wonder you and London will get along so well.

That was fun, Leslie!
